Hello! I am an Instructional Designer with the ITS Learning Innovation Group at Colgate University. With over 17 years experience, my primary role at Colgate is to manage all the various learning platforms while researching emerging technologies – sift through the many to find the few that will support the teaching and learning process in a meaningful way. I am deeply involved in collaborating with our faculty to develop digital learning environments.
I began my higher-ed career at Skidmore College and enjoyed over 13 years there partnering with faculty in their use of technology integration. Followed up with a brief stint serving at Babson College in their Blended and Online Learning managing their “Innovation Pipeline.” Boston was amazing but I yearned for the private, liberal arts environment I was so familiar with… I love Colgate and its rich history and expansive educational experience. I work with a group of diverse, talented, intellectually sophisticated colleagues who challenge me and themselves to be the best we can be in a setting that brings together teaching, learning and technology.
In my early career I led some Hudson Falls, NY fifth graders as teacher, then a whole district as their technology leader supporting K-12 technology integration.
I hold a BA degree from Norwich University, VT in English and Elementary Education, an M.Ed from Columbia University, and most recently completing an Advanced Degree in Instructional Design from the University of Maine.
